Not a professional though but can suggest a few advices.

Show tank(i presume is related to aquascaping)
-use wet dry filter(eheim canister filter)
-to prevent algae growing too much, add in some ottos(algae eating fish)
-Setting up plants.I guess u will need help from dom who is a professional aquascaper.

maintanance
-This will be extremely expensive to maintain a planted tank.
-for display guppies, u must really double check if it is extremely healthy before introduce it for display.( u dun want one sick guppy to ruin everything in the whole tank)

Usually, the standard to follow is 1 inch of fish per gallon.

A guppy show tank should only include guppy, as even the most mild mannered fish will nib on their tails!!

A show tank usually contains plants, but it can also work with just rocks and wood.

If your tank is out doors, test the water temperature in the afternoon, and early in the morning ... you might be surprised how big the difference is. Might want to put in a heater for the night, and floating plants for the hot sun.

Back to plants, there are all sorts of plants ... some very easy, and some difficult. With more research, and careful choosing, you can surely set up a perfect tank for your needs!!!
