Giant size Guppy? You mean those imported from Thailand? I guess they are special feed with the combination of shrimp powder, earl meat and wheat. Feeding worm is quite impossible to make them growth giant size, the female may but not the male.

That what i mean and thailand guppy available grow so large and once it come to our hand ,it not what we expected at the offspring.Wonder why..How big our male guppy can reach?.I heard that guppy rear in the brakish water can grow larger than the one that keep in the fresh water.it that true?.

This I'm not sure, may be you can try it yourself but why you so interested with this Giant Guppy? My fish are all within 20mm ~ 23mm the max size (excluding tail measurement).

Giant guppies seems to be very old and stiff, is because of the food given to them or the age of the fish?

giant guppy i think they are old..if giant male guppy..useless for breeding..for the female..if it is pregnant..i think at least 100 fries per batch..

try feeding them bloodworms and bbs everyday..pump them up!

Feeding plays a BIG part!!!

Frys grow fastest during the first 3 days to 1 week. Feed as much BBS as possible. Then, they spend about 2-3 months to grow their body size before their fins start to grow.

Another point is that guppies will keep on growing till the day they die!!!

Some also feel that adding aquarium salt helps in their growth.
